Occupational Certificate: Real Estate Agent NQF4

In this programme, the primary objective is to equip learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to function effectively as Real Estate Agents. Real Estate Agents play a pivotal role in guiding and facilitating various aspects of property transactions, including buying, selling, letting, financing, and managing immovable property and businesses. It is legislated, by the PPRA (Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority), that to be a full status real estate Property Practitioner, you must be found competent in the outcomes-based NQF Level 4 Real Estate.

 

What is an Occupational Qualification? An Occupational Qualification is a specialised certification that prioritises hands-on learning and real-world work experience. They consist of 3 parts;

How to become a Real Estate Agent:

  1. Register for the 12-month Occupational Certificate for Real Estate Agent NQF 4 at AIE. 
  2. Complete the knowledge and practical modules for NQF 4 at AIE. Then write the external integrated summative assessment to obtain NQF 4 certificate from QCTO.
  3. Register as a Candidate Property Practitioner at the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA). Then apply and complete a 12 - month internship at a Real Estate Agency.
  4. Once 2 and 3 are succuessfully completed, register and write the professional; designation examination (PDE4) through PPRA.
  5. If you passed the PDE4 exam, register at PPRA as a Professional Practitioner in Real Estate.

Admission Requirements

  • Grade 11 (Competency in the English language and Mathematical Literacy).

 

IMPORTANT: If you don't meet our minimum entry requirement, you can still apply for special admission, regardless of what formal education you have. Please note that there are terms and conditions for this application, and all approvals will be made at the discretion of Academic Board.
