The Skin & Eye Treatments Programme enables the prospective student to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide Facial Skincare treatments to their clients. This qualification places emphasis on obtaining sound knowledge and general principles of the trade and the application of practical skills. This is a high-quality, regulated qualification for employability, and enables the qualified therapist to work in multiple industries anywhere in the world.

Student kits are critical to the student's success as this is a practically focused qualification. Our tuition fees do NOT include the kits but rather provide flexible and transparent options to acquire the kits. Please read about our 3 options carefully.

Recommended to a Full Time, Contact (Hybrid) student, this kit consists of the basic items needed for modular-specific subjects.  

Campus facilities will offer the main resources and equipment requirements, which are not included in this kit. This will include small implements and larger electrical equipment, hygiene equipment and cubicle set-up.

      • Classes conducted 5 days a week, 3-6 hours/day
      • Theory classes can be attended on campus AND/OR Online
      • Practical activities and exercises must be done on campus
      • Final Assessments done on campus or at an AIE/ITEC approved salon
    • Full Time, Online Learning
      • Classes conducted 5 days a week, 3-6 hours/day
      • Theory classes can ONLY be attended online
      • Practical activities can be done at home, at the campus (in block format) or at a working salon (* Terms and conditions apply)
      • Final Assessments done at a AIE campus or at an AIE/ITEC approved salon

    Part-Time

    • Part Time, Flexi Online Learning, 4 Weeks
      • Classes conducted after hours over 2-3 sessions/week (on selected Saturdays)

What you get

  • A nationally recognised AIE Certificate of Completion. 
  • Short course certificates for all Microsoft Office courses and other supplementary courses completed during your studies.

  • Experiential hours logbook for students who complete the Practical: experience in Professional Salons as well as Lab Clinic and Community service hours.

Important Notes

Assessment Strategy

  • All treatment evidence, internal assessments, and underpinning knowledge must be completed prior to getting admission to the final practical examination.

  • Final Practical Examination: The final external practical examination will be carried out by internal qualified examiner at the end of the period of learning. The external examiner will also verify a sample of the treatment evidence and internal assessment.

 

 

  • Provide Facial Skincare

    To include consultation, skin analysis, skin cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage, application and removal of face masks, adaptation of treatment to suit the client’s needs and providing aftercare advice. 

  • Client care and Communication

    Salon reception duties - The student will also develop knowledge about related health and safety and client care and communication which is essential to work and be successful in the beauty industry, as a facial skincare specialist.

  • Follow Health and Safety Practices

    The student will also develop knowledge about related health and safety which is essential to work and be successful in the beauty industry.

  • Industry Practise

    Working in Beauty related industries - Industry product demonstrations, industry speakers, new technology exposure, extra field trips and expos. 

  • Microsoft Office

    Additionally, Microsoft Office courses are offered to enhance the student's ability in Microsoft Office tasks and software applications.
